Jo Ann has been drawing and painting since her early teens. However it was only twenty years ago that she took time out from a nursing career and raising a family to seriously pursue her love of fine art.

      Jo Ann has studied at Timberlane Studios Aurora, Ont., the Newmarket School of Fine Art, and the Southampton Art School. She is accomplished in oil painting, watercolour, acrylics and pastels. She continues to take workshops and courses expanding her portfolio to include pastel portraiture and life drawing.

      Jo Ann has shown at several juried art shows in Bruce and Grey Counties and as a guest artist at the Southampton Art Gallery. As a member of the Shoreline Artists she regularly shows her work in the Studio Tours and the Sauble Beach August Art Show

      Her love of painting rivers, lakes and landscapes is evident in her artwork as she effectively renders the subject combining realism and impressionism. Jo Ann works at her studio in her home in Southampton. She also enjoys the contact with the art community as Past President of the Shoreline Artists and as a member of the Southampton Arts Society.
